EDF Group's NUWARD is seeking an experienced engineer to lead modularity and constructability efforts for NSSS island integration in Paris. You will drive design reviews, coordinate with architects, suppliers and construction teams, and help define construction sequences to reduce on-site work and improve competitiveness.
The role requires at least 10 years in engineering, a mechanical engineering degree, and fluent English with some French.
Join an international group, a leader in low-carbon growth and committed to tackling climate change.
NUWARD, an EDF subsidiary, is dedicated to developing the Group’s small modular nuclear reactors (SMRs). NUWARD is designing a multi-energy platform capable of delivering low-carbon, competitive electricity and heat to meet the needs of industry and cities.
Our SMR, known as the NUWARD_SMR, features a simple, modular, and prefabricated design, drawing on the proven technologies and expertise of the existing nuclear fleet.
Our ambition: to deliver Europe’s first SMR during the 2030s. Do you want to help build a safe, low-carbon, and competitive energy future for Europe? Join us on this journey!
Reporting to the Head of Construction, Modularity and Constructability, and working closely with the NSSS Senior Project Manager, you will be instrumental in integrating advanced modularity and constructability levers. Your work will directly contribute to achieving critical competitiveness goals by significantly reducing on-site construction and commissioning times for our SMR series.
Job based in Paris with occasional trips between NUWARD sites and partner engineering and fabrication firms.
