NUWARD, an EDF subsidiary, is developing the Group’s small modular nuclear reactors and leading a multi-energy platform for low‑carbon electricity and heat. The role is based in Lyon, with occasional travel to NUWARD sites and partner firms.

Reporting to the Head of Construction, Modularity and Constructability, you will drive modularity and constructability integration for the NSSS island, shaping innovative, cost‑efficient solutions to shorten on‑site work and schedules.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
• Minimum 10 years of experience in engineering, with exposure to design, manufacturing or construction projects involving modular components.
• Strong understanding of NSSS and modularization processes, including constructability integration in design.

Responsabilités

• Lead the integration of modularity and constructability strategies within the NSSS island. Develop technical recommendations and requirements for architects and project teams.
• Drive the execution of modularity and constructability activities from basic design, ensuring adherence to schedules and methodologies.
• Quantify potential cost, schedule and risk savings and define optimal construction sequences with supply chain and partners.
