Coquille Valley Hospital is seeking a Registered Nurse for Med-Surg with night shift responsibilities in Oregon. The role requires applying nursing theory, coordinating with a multidisciplinary team, and delivering comprehensive patient care in a high-demand environment.

Responsibilities include monitoring and documenting patient status, discussing cases with physicians, preventing infection, and contributing to discharge planning. Licensure, BLS, and ACLS are required at time of hire.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing required; an associate's degree in nursing (A.D.N.) is required.
• Bachelor’s degree in nursing (BSN) preferred.
• Knowledge of professional nursing theory, principles, and practices to provide direct patient care.
• Communication and interpersonal skills in relating to public and peers.
• Current unencumbered Oregon Registered Nurse licensure required at date of hire; BLS and ACLS required at time of hire.

Responsabilités

• Observe patients and monitor vital signs; record observations in charts.
• Discuss cases with doctors and other medical staff.
• Prevent infection and advise staff on infection control.
• Manage care plans and provide treatments and medications.
• Maintain stock of supplies and coordinate with ancillary staff.
• Prepare patients for exams and discharge planning as needed.
• Complete yearly education and documentation prior to end of shift.
