Airbus Helicopters is seeking an Avionic Manager who will chair the Avionic Committee and ensure coherent avionics architecture across projects. You will lead end-to-end development, qualification and implementation for new helicopter variants, coordinating with customers and authorities.
The role requires senior technical background in avionics, strong project management, and proven ability to arbitrate complex technical decisions while reporting progress and risk to senior management.
NHIndustries is a French SAS Company, based in Aix-en-Provence. It is wholly owned by Airbus Helicopters, Leonardo and Fokker Aerostructures and provides the focal point for these companies for the NH90 program. NHI manages the design, the development and the entry to service of the NH90 for both NAHEMA (NATO Helicopter Management Agency) and export customers.
The Avionic Manager & Avionic Committee Chairman ensures coherent avionics architecture and system integration and leads Industry end-to-end development, qualification/certification and implementation process for the related avionics projects.
These work packages can differ in the scope: from the development of a new NH90 Variant to product maturity or evolution, correction of non-compliances, obsolescence management or any other engineering project.
The Avionic Manager & Avionic Committee Chairman reports to the Head of Engineering Projects and has an operational reporting line for qualification/certification activities to the Head of Qualification.
He/She escalates unresolved issues to Aircraft Chief Engineer or Programme governance.
