Job summary

CMA CGM is seeking an experienced engineer to supervise the construction of newbuildings for container ships and RoPax. You will assure compliance with IMS and all relevant rules, and you will drive quality, health, safety, environmental and ethics policies while reporting progress and driving improvements.

You should hold an engineering degree in naval architecture or maritime studies and have at least three years in the maritime industry, with strong analytical and communication skills to

Qualifications

• Graduated in engineering, naval architecture or maritime school.
• Experience 3 years in maritime industry.
• Strong project management, analytical and design knowledge.
• Excellent verbal, written and presentation skills.
• Ability to work independently and in a team.
• Willingness to adapt to changing priorities.

Responsibilities

• Comply with IMS and all relevant regulations and rules.
• Ensure all duties meet quality, health, safety, environmental and ethics policies.
• Propose and report a continuous performance improvement plan.
• Issue comments on drawings for approval per shipbuilding contracts.
• Seek assistance or expert opinions for specific drawings.
• Follow up drawing approvals, work progress, deviations.
• Pilot initial stores and spare parts procurement.
• Manage vessel delivery and ensure specifications approval.
• Perform ongoing risk analyses for projects.
• Report on project progress and liaise with authorities.
• Implement feedback on ongoing projects and propose new standards.
