CMA Ships, a CMA CGM Group subsidiary, seeks an experienced Project Engineer for Newbuildings supervision of containerships and RoPax. You will drive vessel construction, ensure compliance with IMS and regulatory requirements, and report progress to stakeholders.

You will manage drawing approvals, procurement, risk analyses, and delivery milestones, liaising with authorities and experts to implement new standards and ensure vessels meet all regulations and CMA CGM specifications.

Qualifications

  • Graduated in engineering, naval architecture or maritime school.
  • Experience 3 years in maritime industry.
  • Strong project management and analytical abilities.
  • Good communication and presentation skills.

Responsabilités

  • Comply with IMS and all relevant international rules and regulations.
  • Ensure duties meet quality, health, safety, environmental and ethics policies.
  • Propose continuous performance improvement plans and report progress.
  • Issue drawings for approval in accordance with shipbuilding contracts.
  • Seek assistance or expert opinions for specific drawings.
  • Follow up drawing approvals and work progress for projects.
  • Pilot the initial stores and spare parts procurement process.
  • Manage vessel deliveries and ensure specifications approval.
  • Follow risk analyses on ongoing projects.
  • Report on project progress and liaise with authorities.
  • Implement feedback on ongoing projects and propose new standards.
  • Interface with RSE for environmental topics related to shipbuilding.
  • Identify, record and monitor KPIs during vessel construction.
  • Review CMA CGM environment-related requirements.

YOUR ROLE

You supervise Newbuildings construction of CMA CGM Group. Containerships vessels and eventually RoPax.

WHAT ARE YOU GOING TO DO ?

You shall:

  • Comply with IMS and all relevant international rules and régulations.
  • Ensure all your duties in accordance with quality, health, safety, environmental and ethics policies.
  • Propose a continuous performance improvement plan which will be reported and reviewed on a periodical basis.
  • Issue comment on drawings for approval in accordance with shipbuilding contract.
  • Seek for assistance or experts’ opinions for specific Drawings.
  • Follow up:
    • drawing approval and work progress for you project.
    • extra and credit, specification déviations.
  • Pilot the initial stores and spare parts procurement process.
  • Manage vessel’s delivery.
  • Ensure specifications approval.
  • Follow on risk analysis on going projects.
  • Report on project’s progress.
  • Be in contact with Authorities for ongoing projects.
  • Ensure application of feedbacks on the on going projects.
  • Propose new standards and guidelines.
  • Ensure that vessels are built in respect with all regulations and Newbuild specifications.

For Environment representative role you shall:

  • Interface with RSE for environmental topics related to shipbuilding.

For Ship construction related activities.

  • Identify, record, and monitor KPIs to be followed up during construction of the vessels.
  • Identify environmental rules and regulations that need to be followed.
  • Review CMA CGM requirements related to environment.
WHO ARE WE LOOKING FOR ?

Graduated in engineering, naval architecture or maritime school.

Experience 3 years in maritime industry.

  • Project management skills.
  • Analytical skills.
  • Technical knowledge of vessel design
  • Effective verbal, written and presentation skills.
  • Ability to work both independently and in a team-based environment.
  • Demonstrated willingness to be flexible to change priorities.
  • Strong multi-tasking and organizational skills.
