Lukos is seeking a Network Support Engineer to support MARCENT from MacDill AFB, Florida, with deployments to Bahrain. The role requires TS/SCI clearance, DoD certifications, and extensive C4ISR experience. Travel to CENTCOM AOR and remote locations is expected.

The candidate will provide technical SME support, perform routine services for USMC C4ISR systems, and assist in optimizing network and reporting capabilities across garrison and deployed environments.

Qualifications

  • Must possess a current US Passport with ability to travel and work overseas.
  • Must meet COMSEC briefing and Local Element management certification requirements under DoD directives.
  • Must complete an in-scope ST5 investigation and be adjudicated for SCI eligibility without conditions or waivers.
  • Minimum level of qualification per SECNAV M-5239.2.
  • Qualifications commensurate with the proficiency level of work.
  • Must possess a TS/SCI Security Clearance.

Responsabilités

Minimum Qualifications Summary
Certification & Education
  • Must possess a current US Passport with ability to travel and work overseas.
  • Must be able to meet COMSEC briefing and Local Element management certification requirements available under the OPNAVINST 2201.4, DoD Instruction 8523.01 and Air Force Manual 17-1301.
  • Must be able to complete an in-scope (per current DoD 6-year reinvestigation requirement), favorable, ST5 investigation (to include SBPR, PPR, T5R, or current enrollment in the DoD Continuous Evaluation (CE) / Continuous Vetting (CV) program), adjudicated for SCI eligibility by the DoD Central Adjudication Facility (DoD CAF) without conditions, exceptions, or waivers at the time of performance and must maintain the level of security required for the life of the contract.
  • Minimum level of qualification in accordance with SECNAV M-5239.2
  • Qualifications will be commensurate with the proficiency level of work being provided
  • Must possess a TS/SCI Security Clearance
Experience Required
  • Preferred: prior experience and operational knowledge of USMC C4ISR equipment
  • Specialized knowledge of USMC C4ISR operation, technical processes, and maintenance requirements of systems, networks, and advanced operational techniques in the use of USMC C4ISR equipment
  • Five years’ military experience
Job Objective

Under a five-year contract, the Network Support Engineer will support the United States Marine Corps Forces, Central Command (MARCENT) and subordinate commands. The scope of the requirement includes professional services for MARCENT located aboard MacDill Air Force Base (AFB), Florida, which serves as a Component Command to U.S. Central Command (USCENTCOM). Specifically, the Network Support Engineer will support the 5th MEB (also referred to as TF 51/5), which is located in the Kingdom of Bahrain. 5th MEB conducts tactical level command and control of Marine Corps forces within CENTCOM’s AOR. 5th MEB also conducts planning in support of contingencies, exercises, and executes Naval Integration actions.

Responsibilities
  • Work on complex problems where analysis of situation requires in-depth evaluation of various factors. This provides the Command with a local IT Subject Matter Expert (SME) to represent and sustain MARCENT readiness in the TS/SCI environment
  • Perform recurring services to meet the individual requirements of USMC C4ISR systems at garrison and deployed locations worldwide throughout the USMARCENT AOR
  • Provide technical and mentor support for identified USMC C4ISR systems
  • Support USMC C4ISR equipment users and maintainers. Provides SMEs onsite with specialized knowledge of the operation, technical processes, and maintenance requirements of systems, networks, and advanced operational techniques so the equipment user can most effectively exploit the capabilities of their USMC C4ISR equipment
  • Provide recommendations for C4ISR architecture modifications to assist with mission requirements to support operational or training initiatives
  • Will NOT perform technical analysis or create classified data
  • Assist the unit in implementing advanced technical processes and analytical techniques, assist operators with optimization of equipment and network resources, advise the equipment user on how to tailor their systems to support unique reporting and operational requirements, and assist users and maintainers in diagnosing and correcting maintenance deficiencies
  • Assist in the preparation of procedures, processes and techniques; demonstrate how advanced capabilities are achieved, instructional support to equipment users in learning new techniques, and monitor equipment user performance to ensure the activity is correctly performed

  • Serve as a communications advisor to MARCENT Leadership, understanding their goals and providing the writing, editing, and/or multimedia content creation skills and strategies to support them effectively
  • Collaborate across all enclave domains service lanes to gain understanding of all facets of the program to help strengthen communications messages
  • Create and implement layered communications strategies that support MARCENT and its remote sites, informing and engaging personnel of the IT services deployed

Work Location
  • 5th Marine Expeditionary Brigade, Task Force 51/5; Naval Support Activity Bahrain; Manama, Bahrain
  • Travel: Contractor personnel must support the projected travel in support of government requirements to MARCENT AOR and supporting locations, which includes but not limited to the following countries: Bahrain, United Arab Emirates (UAE), Saudi Arabia, Jordan, Egypt, France, Germany, United Kingdom, Oman, Qatar, Kuwait, Iraq, Israel, Afghanistan, Syria, Lebanon, Yemen, Pakistan, Turkmenistan, Uzbekistan, Kyrgyz Republic, Tajikistan, Kazakhstan, Djibouti, Cyprus, Turkey, Italy, and Greece. The ideal candidate will be available for travel on less than 24 hours-notice to support personnel recovery and training for forward deployed forces. The ideal candidate will possess the ability to execute OCONUS travel throughout the Central Command (CENTCOM) AOR.
