Cydecor, Inc. is seeking a Network Engineer to own the operation, availability, and security of the Cydecor network. You will work with a small team to ensure business-critical resources remain accessible and outages are resolved efficiently.

The role requires hands-on experience with Palo Alto firewalls, Cisco switches, Meraki equipment, VPNs, and a Zero Trust environment. You will participate in an on-call rotation and help implement Azure networking and Cloudflare Zero Trust.

Qualifications

• Experience configuring and troubleshooting enterprise routing and switching.
• Hands-on with Palo Alto firewalls, Cisco switches and Meraki equipment.
• Strong VPN experience (site-to-site and client-to-site).
• Experience implementing and operating a Zero Trust network.
• Knowledge of SASE and CASB concepts.
• Familiar with DNS, DHCP, and certificate management.

Job Description

As the primary Network Engineer, you will be responsible for the operation, availability, and security of the Cydecor network. You will work closely with a small team of engineers to ensure business-critical resources remain accessible and that outages and issues are addressed efficiently. You will collaborate with security and compliance team members to ensure compliance requirements are addressed and documented. You will take ownership of IT projects and work with the team to evaluate and implement new technologies as needed.

Responsibilities

• Own performance, availability, security, and reliability across the entire network environment.
• Configure, maintain, monitor, and troubleshoot routing and switching, firewalls, VPNs, wireless, and related infrastructure.
• Design and implement network changes and new sites and services.
• Evaluate and implement new technologies.
• Support connectivity and networking across Azure environments.
• Support the transition toward Cloudflare Zero Trust.
• Collaborate with security and compliance teams to support network security and regulatory requirements.
• Maintain accurate documentation of network architecture, configurations, and operational procedures.
• Participate in an on-call rotation to respond to critical network issues outside of normal business hours.

Here’s what you need

• 6 + years related experience.
• Strong experience with enterprise routing and switching.
• Hands‑on experience administering and troubleshooting Palo Alto Networks firewalls, Cisco switches, and Cisco Meraki networking equipment, including wireless access points.
• Strong experience configuring and troubleshooting site-to-site and client-to-site VPNs.
• Hands‑on experience implementing and operating a Zero Trust network environment.
• Experience working with SASE and CASB solutions, with an understanding of their underlying security and networking concepts.
• Experience working with network monitoring tools (experience with LogicMonitor preferred).
• Strong knowledge of DHCP, DNS, and certificate management.
• Experience working with Cloudflare DNS and Zero Trust preferred.
• Working knowledge of Azure networking, including virtual networks, routing, VPN connectivity, and network security.
• Experience working with ITSM solutions and writing technical documentation.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem‑solving skills.
• Experience planning and independently executing IT/network infrastructure projects.
• Ability to work independently, prioritize competing demands, and manage multiple projects and operational responsibilities.
• CCNA certification required (CCNP desired)

Bonus Points If You Have

• Palo Alto Networks Certified Network Security Professional certification desired.
• Microsoft Certified: Azure Network Engineer Associate (AZ0700) desired.
• Works well with others, communicates effectively, existing leadership training (Covey, Blanchard, etc...).

Security Clearance

• Ability to obtain a DoD Clearance

• GED/Highschool

Work Schedule

• 8 AM – 4:30 PM EST - After hours work also needed on a monthly basis

Compensation and Benefits

The projected compensation range for this position is $110k - $135,000.
