Network Engineer

The candidate will be responsible for coordinating the NIO (Network and IoT) service for the Centre-East region.

The Centre-East includes the sites in: Toulouse / Nantes / Paris / Reims.

Responsibilities
  • Monitor and manage NIO incidents across all Centre-East sites to ensure efficient service levels.
  • Ensure compliance with IT processes and services in line with Client SOPs and IT Standards.
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of NIO IT infrastructure (needs assessment, improvement areas, migration plans, etc.).
  • Propose enhancements and new technologies that could be deployed locally.
  • Manage orders, reporting, inventory, and maintain information in the CMDB for IT equipment tracking.
  • Oversee and monitor NIO France activities across the entire scope.
  • Provide technical expertise and support to project teams.
  • Participate in and follow up on projects (pilot, lifecycle, client strategy changes, etc.).

Workload will be reviewed regularly if RUN activities prevent time being allocated to project work.

Occasionally work in classified lab zones, requiring strict dress codes (FFP2 / surgical mask, lab coat, coveralls, etc.).

Typical Day of Service
  • Review ongoing incidents.
  • Attend follow-up meetings for projects involving new buildings / offices / labs / server rooms / IT racks.
  • Work on planning for such projects.
  • Request quotes from hardware providers for Wi‑Fi access points.
  • Support the Deskside IT team (OSS) with network issues on production equipment.
  • Request business approval from site management for network equipment maintenance.
  • Contact global network experts regarding incidents.
  • Collaborate with network experts in Spain for switch configuration (e.g., providing a device connected via console cable).
