Airbus Operations SAS in Toulouse is seeking a multi-sensors datafusion designer to join the Design Office. You will work on CNS architectures, data fusion and AI technologies for aircraft operations, interfacing with various Airbus teams and external partners.

The role emphasizes developing and integrating fusion algorithms, ensuring safety and certification, and delivering high-performance solutions for in-service and future aircraft programs. Excellent English and good French are expected.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Aeronautical or Electronics engineering.
• Advanced knowledge in signal processing or automatic systems.
• Experience with multisensor data fusion and state estimation.
• Programming experience in MATLAB/Simulink, C/C++, or Python.
• Familiarity with navigation and surveillance systems or image systems.
• Basic project management skills and curiosity for complex systems.
• Excellent English and intermediate French.

Airbus Commercial Aircraft is looking for a multi sensors datafusion designer (f/m) to join our Design Office. The role is based in Toulouse, France. You will join the system design group in charge of the design of Communication, Navigation, Surveillance (CNS) architectures and associated technologies bricks (computer vision, speech to text, data fusion). You are passionate about navigation and surveillance, image based processing, Artificial intelligence and data fusion? Do you want to discover aircraft operations? Your mission is to prepare future CNS architecture, new technologies and services supporting Airlines Operations, Airbus & Airlines business profitability. You will be responsible for the definition, design and integration of data fusion functions that can be deployed on several targets (different programs).

Your challenges

• Defining top-level objectives and requirements of new or improved functions
• Contributing to safety, Verification & Validation and certification related activities
• Developing, validating and integrating the algorithms supporting these functions
• Ensuring the deployment of these functions on in-service and future Airbus aircraft
• Collaborating in multi-functional team with the relevant stakeholders (Airbus internal centers &functions, external academics, industrial partners) to ensure the delivery of the projects
• Being accountable of projects delivery on time, cost, quality and performance targets
• Promoting and developing innovations

The role allows a number of interfaces including other aircraft system teams, aircraft and Research & Technology programs, laboratory and flight test teams, safety, certification, airworthiness, academic bodies, major multi-national suppliers, etc.

Your boarding pass

• Educated to a Master Degree in Aeronautical / Electronics engineering (or equivalent)
• Advanced knowledge in Signal processing and/or Automatic systems
• Strong background in signal processing algorithms such as extended kalman filters, diagnostic
• Good experience with implementation of multisensors data fusion, state estimation/motion control algorithms
• Experience programming Matlab/simulink, C/C++ or Python
• Knowledge of Navigation and Surveillance systems (GNSS, ILS, RA, Inertial, Weather, Anti Collision...) and/or image systems (image processing, camera, radar, lidar ....)
• Project management basic competencies
• Curiosity and appetite for complex function and system development
• Advanced level of English /Intermediate level of French
