Job summary

Sonnet Montessori is seeking an Assistant Educator to support the Lead Educator in creating a nurturing and innovative learning environment where students grow and develop essential skills. You’ll help implement age-appropriate activities, monitor progress, and maintain safety and routines.

Responsibilities include supervising children, communicating with families, and collaborating with staff. Must meet DHS Assistant Teacher qualifications and be able to lift up to 40lbs and obtain CPR/First

Qualifications

Must meet the Department of Human Services (DHS) Assistant Teacher qualification requirements.
Knowledge of early childhood development principles and best practices.
Strong communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
Ability to meet the physical demands of the job, including lifting up to 40 lbs and responding to emergencies.

Responsibilities

Assist the Lead Educator in implementing play-based, age-appropriate lesson plans and activities.
Maintain a positive classroom culture and sense of belonging.
Supervise and engage with students to ensure safety and participation.
Perform daily cleaning and sanitizing of the classroom and materials.
Communicate professionally with families and provide updates on children’s progress.
Collaborate with colleagues to share ideas and best practices.
