IDEMIA Group in Paris, France, seeks an experienced Software Architect/Tech Lead to transform requirements into scalable, secure software architecture across mobile platforms. You will guide end-to-end development, define architecture standards, and mentor engineers to deliver performant solutions.

Hybrid work with three office visits weekly; on-site option available. 10+ years in mobile development (Android/iOS), expertise in Kotlin, Java, and Kotlin Multiplatform, plus testing and security

Qualifications

• 10+ years of experience in mobile development (Android/iOS).
• Preferably 3 years in Tech Lead/Architect role.
• Proficient in Kotlin, Java, Kotlin Multi Platform.
• Experience with testing (Groovy, Spock, JUnit).
• Knowledge of build/release with Gradle, Jenkins.
• Strong mobile security practices (Android Keystore, certificate pinning).
• Familiarity with NFC payments (HCE implementation).

Responsabilités

• Designs and specifies overall software structure, interfaces and technologies to meet performance, security, budget and quality criteria.
• Performs architecture feasibility analysis and recommends software architecture options.
• Acts as technical lead throughout the full software development lifecycle, end-to-end.
• Develops and documents architecture specifications used as reference by engineering teams.
• Provides design reviews and guidance on architecture, integration, performance and scalability.
• Ensures consistency of software design and technologies across components.
• Supports developers on technical issues and product backlog prioritization.
• Identifies technologies to use and defines software architecture for modules.
• Ensures non-functional requirements are well implemented and validated.

Purpose

This role transforms functional and non-functional requirements into design to reach simple, efficient and maintainable software that best addresses customers' requirements and optimize IDEMIAs business value.

Key Missions

• Designs and specifies the overall software structure, core elements, interfaces (API), technologies (COTS) and properties to meet the criteria of performance, security, budget, quality and risks induced by the requirements and contextual constraints of the software operation
• Performs architecture feasibility analysis (including performance, fault and risk analysis) and make recommendations on Software Architecture options
• Serves as technical lead throughout the full software development lifecycle, end-to-end
• Develops and documents architecture specifications that serve as the reference for engineering and execution
• Provides design and validation reviews for other engineers, including feedback on architecture and design issues, as well as integration, performance and scalability
• Monitors and enforces consistency of software design and technologies among all components
• Supports developers on managing technical issues
• Supports Product Owner on managing backlog and priorities
• Identifies the technologies to use
• Defines Software Architecture and contribute to its implementation for simple modules
• Ensures that non-functional requirements are well implemented
• Contributes to or validates quotations
• Shares knowledge and may mentor software developers

Profile & Other Information

• 10+ years of experience in mobile development (Android/iOS). Preferably 3 years as Tech Lead/Architect role
• Kotlin, Java, Kotlin Multi Platform
• Testing: Groovy, Spock, JUnit, JC2 - internal testing framework
• Build/Release: Gradle, Jenkins
• Mobile Security: Android Keystore, certificate pinning, pairing, Google Play Integrity, secure communication with backend, mobile SDK protection mechanisms
• NFC payments (HCE implementation)

The role is based in Paris, France. We are working in hybrid model with at least three visits at the office per week. If you prefer to work fully on site, our office is always open for you :)
