Job summary

Rivercell in Paris is seeking a hands-on Manufacturing Engineer to own the physical realization of its microfluidic chip, from glass substrates and precision components to assembly, QC and small-scale production.

You will build supplier networks, tooling, process controls, and a repeatable production method for up to 500 chips per year, working at the bench while coordinating with engineers across disciplines.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of relevant experience in precision-component manufacturing or packaging.
• Experience with microfluidic or lab-device production and manufacturing-process development.
• Comfort moving between drawings, supplier talks, inspection, and hands-on assembly.

Responsibilities

• Own the chip manufacturing and packaging architecture, including substrates, spacers, chambers, ports, sealing and electrical interfaces.
• Develop a roadmap from manual prototypes to semi-automated small-scale production,
• Define specifications and qualify suppliers for glass components and processing.
• Develop repeatable assembly and packaging processes for early devices, including bonding and testing.
• Lead tooling design, tolerance control, and quality inspections across incoming, in-process, and final stages.
• Recruit, train and supervise assembly technicians and ensure safe handling of fragile components.
