Mercor seeks a Drug Discovery Scientist for a remote, hourly contractor role. You will design AI-driven research problems in drug discovery, build data rooms with traceable sources, and create rigorous grading documents to assess submissions.

You’ll verify, calibrate, and revise work autonomously, delivering high-quality results within 20–40 hours per week. The role requires deep expertise in mechanistic enzymology or structure-based medicinal chemistry, with a PhD or equivalent experience.

Qualifications

• PhD or equivalent industry track record.
• Working expertise in mechanistic enzymology, structure-guided peptide or antibody design, fragment-based discovery, or structure-based medicinal chemistry.
• Ability to pose a problem whose answer can be defended rigorously.
• Comfortable judging reasoning quality, not just final answers.
