Job Description

Provides front office support duties including, but not limited to, obtaining referrals and pre‑certifications, collecting co‑pays, missing patient data, scheduling appointments, and coding fee slips.

Responsibilities
  • Obtaining referrals and pre‑certifications
  • Collecting co‑pays and missing patient data
  • Scheduling appointments and coding fee slips
  • Maintaining examination areas and medical supplies (reordering, stocking, cleaning, troubleshooting)
  • Performing administrative or clerical duties such as filing, reception, scheduling, data entry, and patient registration
  • Reviewing provider orders prior to patient leaving the clinic
  • Obtaining informed consent for invasive procedures
  • Schedules referral appointments as necessary or as instructed by the provider; maintains patient information in the computer system
  • Posting charges, completing paperwork, and collecting co‑pays, deductibles and account balances
  • Assisting in the completion of end-of-day balancing/closing and deposit preparations for courier pickup
Non‑Essential Functions
  • Demonstrating a working knowledge of infection control policies
  • Assisting in maintaining office supply inventory, reordering as necessary to maintain smooth workflow
  • Other duties as assigned
Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • MA certification preferred
  • Critical thinking skills, decisive judgment, and the ability to work with minimal supervision
  • Ability to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action
  • FLSA: Non‑exempt
