Kidney & Hypertension Specialists is seeking a Medical Assistant to join our team for vital patient support in a clinical setting. You will handle front desk duties and clinical tasks, ensuring accurate records, timely appointments, and smooth patient flow.

The role requires completing prior authorizations, using Athena EMR, and maintaining compassionate, patient-centered care while educating patients on treatment plans and follow-up care.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; certification as a Medical Assistant preferred.
• Previous experience in a medical office setting is a plus.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to multitask and prioritize effectively.
• Knowledge of medical terminology and procedures.
• Proficient in using electronic health records (EHR) systems.
• Compassionate demeanor with a patient-centered approach.
• Must be able to perform dual MA and Front Desk responsibilities.

Responsabilités

• All front desk responsibilities (Checkin/Checkout).
• Manage patient records and ensure accurate documentation.
• Complete prior-authorizations for medications.
• Schedule appointments and coordinate patient flow.
• Educate patients on treatment plans and follow-up care.
• Maintain a clean and organized clinical environment.
• Perform basic urine tests.
• Provide excellent customer service to patients and their families.
