Qualifications

• Engineering degree in mechanical design, mechatronics, industrial engineering, or equivalent.
• Strong, proven 3D design experience with very good command of SolidWorks
• Experience designing jigs, fixtures, or industrial tooling — ideally in a series production environment.
• Automation side of mechatronics: sensors, actuators, pneumatics, and electronics integration for cohesive designs.
• Autonomous and resourceful, comfortable operating in an agile, fast-paced environment without sacrificing quality.
• Clear communicator, able to interface directly with Industrialisation, Methods, and Automation teams.
• Good communication in French and English — able to interact clearly with operators and engineers
• Hands-on mindset; at ease on the shopfloor, not just behind a screen

Responsabilités

• Design production jigs, fixtures, and manual tooling (assembly jigs, positioning fixtures, control/inspection tooling) under SolidWorks, from concept to manufacturing-ready 3D models and drawings.
• Produce full technical documentation: manufacturing drawings, bills of materials, and assembly/use instructions for each tool.
• Integrate ESD, operator safety, and ergonomics requirements into every tooling design.
• Design the mechanical elements of automated cells and equipment (frames, supports, motion axes, grippers/end-effectors, guarding, enclosures) under SolidWorks.
• Select and size mechanical components (linear guides, actuators, couplings, transmission elements) for reliability and maintainability.
• Work with the Auto & Digital pole to integrate mechanical designs with sensors, actuators, pneumatics, and controls.
• Support commissioning and debugging of equipment on the shop floor, iterating quickly on feedback from the line before releasing for production use.
• Work cross-functionally with Industrialisation, Methods to define tooling and equipment needs and challenge proposed solutions.
• Proactively identify and propose improvement opportunities on the production lines — cycle time, ergonomics, tooling/equipment reliability
