Airbus Defence and Space SAS is seeking an Airframe Structural Design Engineer in Toulouse, France, to join the Military Derivatives department. You will develop structural designs for airframe components, lead cross-functional collaboration, and support the product lifecycle using Catia V5 and CSG Full3D.

The role requires experience in metallic and composite materials and the ability to coordinate internal and external teams across the design and production chain, in a dynamic defense program

Qualifications

• Experience in metallic and composite materials for airframe structural design (empennage, fuselage, wing, doors, mechanisms).
• Ability to design structures of components and assemblies.
• Experience coordinating internal teams and external subcontractors.

Responsabilités

• Concept, definition and development of structural airframe components for derivatives programs using modern design processes and tools such as Catia V5 and CSG Full3D.
• Establish design principles, key characteristics, interfaces, materials and manufacturing processes.
• Support end-to-end product lifecycle in a design environment with cross-functional collaboration.
• Maintain strong ties with other engineering design offices (stress, analysis, loads, systems, armament, etc.).
• Support stakeholders across supply chain, quality, manufacturing, and certification teams.

Job Description

Airbus Defence and Space is looking for a Airframe Structural Design Engineer (f/m) to join our departement based in Toulouse, France.

As part of an exciting and challenging new upcoming military Program inside the Military Derivatives department of Air Power, we are building a brand-new team . Your Challenges

As a member of our team, you will develop and perform the following challenging tasks and concurrence activities:

• Concept, Definition and Development of design for structural A/C components, assemblies, installations and design solutions for A/C Derivatives programmes with modern design process, methods and tools. Catia V5, CSG Full3D, but not limited to the basic tools you will use in context with other stakeholders on a daily basis.
  
• Establishment of the Design principles, Key Characteristics Design, Interface, Frontiers, Interface Points, Materials and Manufacturing processes detailed definition. Active participation on the Collaborative and concurrence process with Industrial and Production part with a customer oriented view through Airbus Defense & space services up to the final customer.
  
• Supporting the complete product lifecycle of an aircraft in a E2E Design Process using additional modern software or applications.
  
• Strong working ties to other Engineering Design offices (e.g., stress, analysis, loads,, systems installation, armament, material & processes, aerodynamic, configuration design, DMU/CAD,...) where interfaces Design will continuously broaden your knowledge.
  
• Support various stakeholders with technical knowledge (e.g. supply chain and office, quality, purchasing, manufacturing engineering, production and assembly, M&P, stress analysis, Chief Engineer, Architecture and Integration, Airworthiness and Certification,...).
  

Your Profile: Abilities, skills and competencies

As a successful candidate, you should be able to demonstrate the following abilities, skills and competences with proved experience:

• Experience in Metallic and Composites technologies and materials applied to the Airframe Structural Design (Empennage, Fuselage, Wing, LWB, Doors, Mechanism, Military systems)
• Ability to design structures of components and assemblies
• Ability to manage and coordinate internal people and external subcontracting companies.
• Good level of structural design, pre-sizing knowledge, configuration management...
• Languages: Good English level - Spanish and French languages would be plus
• Good communication skills, collaboration, proactivity and team play working spirit
