CT19 is seeking a Mechanical Engineer to own the company's mechanical and hardware development. You will work across mechanical design, prototyping, testing and scale-up, translating early-stage technology into practical, reliable hardware.

This hands-on role offers autonomy within a small team and shaping engineering processes as the company grows. Ideal for someone experienced in hardware development in a fast-paced startup setting.

Qualifications

  • Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
  • Proven hardware/product development experience.
  • Experience with fluid and/or thermal systems in industrial equipment.
  • Experience taking hardware from prototype through pilot.
  • Hands-on assembly, fabrication and testing experience.
  • Electrochemical systems experience.
  • Comfortable in an early-stage, fast-moving environment.

Responsabilités

  • Own mechanical development from prototype through to pilot.
  • Translate R&D requirements into practical mechanical designs.
  • Design, build and test prototype and pilot-scale equipment.
  • Produce CAD models, drawings and engineering documentation.
  • Support P&IDs, test plans and commissioning activities.
  • Work across fluid and thermal management systems.
  • Coordinate suppliers, manufacturers and fabrication partners.
  • Apply design-for-manufacture principles.
  • Lead hands-on assembly, testing and troubleshooting.
  • Establish robust engineering and documentation processes.
  • Support and mentor junior engineers.
  • Collaborate closely with R&D and other engineering disciplines.

An early-stage climate technology company developing innovative hardware solutions to support the energy transition.

Following successful early-stage technology development and funding, the company is now moving towards the next phase of prototype development, scale-up and pilot deployment.

This is an opportunity to join at an early stage and play a key role in developing and scaling a novel technology from the lab towards commercial application.

About the role

We are looking for a Mechanical Engineer to take ownership of the company's mechanical and hardware development.

You will work across mechanical design, prototyping, testing and scale-up, translating early-stage technology into practical, reliable hardware.

This is a highly hands-on role within a small team, with significant autonomy and the opportunity to shape both the technology and engineering processes as the company grows.

Mechanical Engineer responsibilities
  • Own mechanical development from prototype through to pilot.

Mechanical Engineer requirements
  • Degree level qualification in Mechanical Engineering or related discipline.
  • Proven experience with product/hardware development experience.
  • Experience designing industrial equipment involving fluid and/or thermal systems.
  • Experience taking hardware from prototype through to pilot.
  • Hands-on assembly, fabrication and testing experience.
  • Electrochemical systems experience.
  • Comfortable working in an early-stage, fast-moving environment.
