Job summary

Talantir in Lyon seeks a Platform/Product Manager to define and govern the strategy for one product platform, aligning customer needs with profitability and coordinating across engineering, R&D and commercial teams. Qualifications

• Engineering degree or Master's (Bac+5) with a specialisation in materials chemistry, plastics processing, or paper and/or in marketing or innovation management.
• At least 3 years of experience in a similar role in an international industrial environment.
• Strong knowledge of plastics processing techniques and polymer materials, packaging, or paper/converters.
• Fluent in English and comfortable working across international teams.
• Interest in innovation, technical challenges and environmental issues.
• Ability to rally and inspire teams around a clear product vision with a collaborative leadership style.

Responsibilities

• Define and manage the strategy for your product platform based on customer, regulatory, market and technology monitoring.
• Build an offering that meets customer needs and plan product launches.
• Define pricing and distribution strategy and manage time-to-market milestones.
• Coordinate cross-functional projects through to commercialisation and sampling.
• Monitor development timelines and provide market insights to R&D and business teams.
• Monitor the budget and contribute to innovation funding applications.

Role Overview: Responsibility for one of these platforms and build a strategic vision for the company’s products, as defined by management, aligned with external customer needs and expected profitability. You will be the voice of the customer internally, ensuring alignment between market needs and development priorities.

Responsibilities:Definition and management of the strategy for your product platform, based on customer, regulatory, market and technology monitoring:Build an offering that meets customer needs (product design or application developments)Define pricing and distribution strategyPlan and manage product launchesDefine and manage time-to-market (milestones / deadlines)Define mid and long-term R&D projectsCoordination of cross-functional projects related to your product platform:Prioritise, support and coordinate projects through to commercialisation: ensure smooth communication, gather requirements, manage sampling, provide technical support, pilot and industrial PoCs, industrialisationDefine and monitor the product development timeline, providing technical and market support to the Business team, and market insight to the R&D and industrial teamsMonitor the budget for platform-related activities and contribute to the preparation of innovation funding applications

The position involves regular travel within Europe and internationally.
