Job summary

CMA Ships, a CMA CGM Group subsidiary, seeks a New Building Design & Tender Project Manager in Marseille to steer pre-contract activities for vessel designs and tender discussions. You will lead cross-functional collaboration with yards, design offices, and internal teams to align technical solutions with strategic efficiency goals.

The role demands a Master’s degree in naval/maritime engineering, 5+ years in vessel design, and fluent English.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in naval or maritime engineering or from a merchant shipping school.
• 5+ years of experience in vessel design and shipbuilding operations.
• Fluent English, both written and spoken.
• Experience working in a shipyard is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to creating a catalogue of Newbuilding solutions to procure vessels with improved efficiency.
• Establish and maintain relationships with main shipyards, design offices, and industry players.
• Review tender documents: technical specifications, key drawings, and shipbuilding contracts.
• Collect and analyze new-building market information.
• Ensure compliance with CMA CGM Standards via the Design Improvement Office.
• Prepare and present bi-monthly Steering Committee updates on alternative fuels.
