We are seeking an intern for our Sovereign Advisory team. High-possible master students’ candidates are expected. The internship will start in March 2027, for a period of 6 months. This position is based in Paris.

We’ll Trust You To

• Perform macro-financial analyses and market updates;
• Assist in the elaboration of presentations and memorandums in the context of active mandates;
• Prepare materials in the context of the team’s marketing efforts;
• Assist in financial modeling (e.g., debt sustainability, restructuring, balance of payments, project finance modeling…);
• Conduct in-depth macroeconomic research, economic intelligence and news watch.

Interns joining Lazard’s Sovereign Advisory team are fully onboarded on ongoing mandates and given a significant degree of responsibility, contributing to day-to-day mandate execution.

You’ll Need To Have

• A strong background in macroeconomics and finance;
• Excellent analytical and communication skills; and
• A genuine demonstrated interest in emerging markets and public sector-related issues.

Prior professional experience in fields relevant to our line of work is highly appreciated.

Proficiency in English and French is a must, and Spanish would be highly valued. A good knowledge of other languages (e.g., Arabic, Chinese etc.) is a plus.

Interns may be asked to travel and must have a valid passport (with more than 6 months of validity).
