Manufacturing Engineer - Aerospace Manufacturing

Role Overview
We are looking for a Manufacturing Engineer with experience in manufacturing and quality, preferably within an aerospace manufacturing environment.
The role will focus on Build in Quality (BiQ), process control, NPI, quality improvement, root cause analysis, and manufacturing process optimization.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement manufacturing engineering solutions focused on Build in Quality (BiQ).
- Identify process controls and error-proofing methods to prevent non-conformances.
- Support New Product Introduction (NPI) and manufacturing launch activities.
- Create Characteristic Matrices and identify key process variables and severity.
- Interpret GD&T from model-based definitions and legacy engineering drawings.
- Prepare and implement PFMEA, Control Plans and Inspection Plans.
- Work with cross-functional teams, suppliers and technical experts.
- Support supplier audits, process standardization and continuous improvement.
- Investigate non-conformances using structured problem-solving methodologies such as 8D.
- Analyse shop-floor and RFT data, RAG charts and Six Pack analysis.
- Develop process improvement and error-proofing solutions.
- Create statistical charts and analysis using Minitab.
- Support DFM, DFMEA, FAIR, PPAP and APQP activities.
- Support manufacturing and product validation activities.
Required Skills
- 2-6 years of experience in Manufacturing Engineering / Quality Engineering.
- Strong knowledge of manufacturing processes.
- Ability to read and interpret Engineering & Manufacturing Drawings.
- Good knowledge of GD&T, preferably ASME Y14.5 / JES 161.
- Knowledge of Measurement System Analysis (MSA).
- Hands-on experience with measurement and testing equipment.
- Experience with Root Cause Analysis and 8D problem solving.
- Working knowledge of QC tools and SPC analysis.
- Experience creating PFMEA and Control Plans.
- Knowledge of concessions, containment and traceability processes.
- Experience with FAIR, APQP and PPAP.
- Awareness of AS9100 / ISO and aerospace quality requirements.
- Aerospace manufacturing and continuous improvement experience is preferred.
