A leading transportation technology company seeks a Solution Application Architect to design and deploy CBTC signaling solutions in Saint-Ouen. Candidates should possess a master's degree in Engineering and 10+ years of relevant experience, ideally in Rail Signaling. WHAT WE CAN ACHIEVE TOGETHER:

As part of our Alstom Digital & Integrated Systems activity, the Saint‑Ouen Development Centre is in charge of designing Alstom Urban CBTC Signaling Solutions: Urbalis 400, a system deployed on more than 100 projects worldwide, and Urbalis Fluence, our latest and most innovative Urban Signaling System.

Solution Application Architect's role is to:
  • Define the best design proposal and deployment strategy to meet customer expectations
  • Share the technical requirement and agree on the solution with Alstom’s tender and projects teams, customer interface teams, development teams and strategic leaders.
  • Promote and explain our Systems and their technical advantages to potential or current customers, as well as internally during training or communication meetings.
  • Contribute to other Signaling Innovation Programs at Alstom as System Experts.
As Solution Application Architect Group Manager, you will:
  • Manage hierarchically Solution Application Architects;
  • Lead St‑Ouen Development Center Tendering activities and Tenders technical proposals;
  • Contribute to the definition of Urbalis Technical Roadmap (for Urbalis 400 and Fluence) and lead roadmap topics coming from tenders and future roadmap developments;
  • As a Technical Authority and System Engineering Expert, follow up critical Urbalis tenders and preliminary Design Reviews, and assess overall solution adequacy;
  • Lead transverse technical topics as System Engineering Expert.
WHAT IS YOUR PROFILE?
  • Graduate of a master’s degree in Engineering or university equivalent, preferably with a specialization in Rail Transportation Systems.
  • Experience preferred: 10or more years of experience in a similar position (complex system architecture, system design, project engineering, validation, or operational safety) within a Transport company, experience in Rail Signaling would be appreciated.
  • Ability to solve technical problems: with rigor, critical thinking, analytical approach, but with creativity, you are able to synthesize the different aspects of a technical subject as well as to make reasoned decisions, and conduct analyses independently.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and a taste for collaborative work, as well as technical management: you enjoy working in teams and technical coordination, you are open and comfortable when presenting to clients, and motivated by multicultural environments.
  • Fluency in English is essential.
