Air Products is seeking a proactive Maintenance Planner to join our European Maintenance Team. You will plan and coordinate preventive, corrective, and turnaround activities across multiple sites, ensuring safe, reliable operation and compliance with Air Products procedures.

In this role you will work with operations, engineering and external contractors, develop schedules and cost estimates, and support plant shutdowns.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering or related technical discipline.
  • Minimum 5 years in Maintenance Planning/Turnaround Planning or similar.
  • Experience with preventive maintenance, plant shutdowns, and turnarounds.

Responsabilités

  • Plan and coordinate preventive, corrective, and unplanned maintenance activities.
  • Support preparation and execution of plant shutdowns and turnarounds.
  • Develop maintenance schedules, work packages, and resource plans.
  • Coordinate contractors and service providers, including qualification activities.
  • Support refurbishment projects and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Collaborate with Operations, Engineering and Maintenance teams, and external stakeholders.
  • Ensure safety and compliance with Air Products procedures.

We are currently looking for a Maintenance Planner to join our European Maintenance Team.

What you’ll do

As a Maintenance Planner, you will play a key role in ensuring the safe, reliable, and efficient operation of our facilities across Germany. You will take a leading role in planning and coordinating maintenance activities, plant shutdowns, and turnarounds while working closely with operations, engineering, maintenance teams, and external contractors.

Your Responsibilities Include
  • Planning and coordinating preventive, corrective, and unplanned maintenance activities
  • Supporting the preparation and execution of plant shutdowns and turnarounds
  • Developing maintenance schedules, work packages, resource plans, and cost estimates
  • Coordinating contractors and service providers, including contractor qualification and evaluation activities
  • Supporting refurbishment projects and continuous improvement initiatives
  • Working closely with Operations, Engineering, Maintenance teams, and external stakeholders
  • Ensuring maintenance activities are carried out safely and in compliance with Air Products procedures
  • Supporting efforts to minimize plant downtime and improve equipment reliability
  • Acting as a trusted partner to the Maintenance Manager and supporting the wider maintenance organization
What we’re looking for

We are looking for an energetic and hands‑on professional who thrives in a dynamic industrial environment and enjoys taking ownership.

You Bring
  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related technical discipline
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in Maintenance Planning, Maintenance Engineering, Turnaround Planning, Reliability Engineering, or a similar industrial role
  • Experience with preventive maintenance programs, shutdowns, and turnaround execution
  • Experience working with SAP PM, CMMS, or similar maintenance management systems
  • Strong organizational and planning skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities
  • Good knowledge of industrial mechanical equipment such as rotating equipment, piping systems, pressure equipment, and maintenance execution practices
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
  • A proactive, solution‑oriented mindset
  • Fluent German and English language skills (French is a plus)
  • Willingness to travel regularly between sites
