Haitong Bank in Paris is seeking a Senior Analyst – Junior Associate to join its M&A and Corporate Finance teams. You will assist in drafting deal documents, support live transactions, and help prepare client materials in English and Chinese.

You will work with senior bankers, contribute to financial modelling, and participate in diligence and closings on cross-border deals. The role requires 2–4 years in related fields, strong modelling skills, and fluency in English, French and Chinese.

Qualifications

• 2-4 years of experience in M&A, Corporate Finance, Private Equity or Valuation.
• Strong modelling, accounting and finance knowledge with attention to detail.
• Excellent English, French and Chinese written and spoken skills.

Responsabilités

• Assist the execution team in drafting and reviewing Teasers, IMs, Process Letters and presentations.
• Support senior bankers in client meetings and events for banks or financial institutions.
• Develop financial models and valuation analyses for live transactions.
• Prepare high-quality materials for teasers and information memoranda in English and Chinese.
• Conduct research and analyses to support new business generation.
• Assist in transaction diligence, closings and structured finance activities.

JOB DESCRIPTION

The candidate will work on the M&A and Corporate and Project Financing Teams and will be involved in new business/client origination, as well as supporting the live deal execution. The main tasks/responsibilities for this position include:

• Assist the execution team in the draft and review of both marketing and transaction documents that mainly include Teasers, IMs, Process Letters, Management Presentations, Financial Models;
• Exposure by supporting the senior bankers in client meetings, Banking or Financial Institution’s events;
• Assist the Execution team for the development of financial models and valuation analysis;
• Preparation of high-quality presentation materials for teasers, information memorandum and other transaction-related marketing documents, both in English and Chinese;
• Performing research and various analyses in support of new business generation;
• Transaction diligence (buy-side, sell-side/carve-out and Structured Finance), transaction closing.

PROFILE

• 2-4 years of related experience in M&A, Corporate Finance, Private Equity or Valuation;
• Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills;
• High level in modelling skills, accounting and finance knowledge;
• Solid analytical skills;
• Team worker with positive, flexible and proactive attitude;
• Capacity to work efficiently and independently in a timely manner and used to work with tight deadlines;
• Strong linguistic skills in English, French and Chinese (both spoken and written);
• Advanced skills in Word / Excel / Powerpoint / Bloomberg / Capital IQ / Orbis / Mergermarket;
• Used to work in highly demanding environments with rich experience in M&A processes and structured finance dealing with clients and third-party advisors, and should have a dynamic mindset, proactivity and high self-motivation;
