Alstom invites applications for an Internship in its M&A department within the Finance function. You will assist a 3-member M&A team alongside 2 M&A lawyers and gain exposure to deal screening, market analyses, and transaction execution.

The role includes supporting due diligence, drafting internal materials, coordinating with stakeholders, and contributing to business plans and valuation models as part of a global industrial group.

Qualifications

• Exposure to corporate finance and M&A processes.
• Collaboration with the M&A team and lawyers.
• Support due diligence coordination and financial analyses.

Responsabilités

• Deal screening and evaluation
• Review and assess new acquisition opportunities
• Support evaluation of strategic rationale, potential synergies, risks, and transaction feasibility
• Conduct market, industry, and competitor analyses
• Transaction execution
• Prepare internal presentations, approval materials, and investment committee documentation
• Coordinate due diligence activities with internal stakeholders and external advisors
• Assist with financial due diligence reviews
• Contribute to business plans and valuation models
• Support SPA review and negotiations
• Monitor closing and post-closing activities
• Divestment projects
• Support disposal processes and transaction strategy
• Assist in preparing teasers, information memoranda, and virtual data rooms
• Participate in interactions with prospective buyers and advisors
• Contribute to business plan preparation and carve-out assessments
• Support transaction documentation review and post-closing follow-up
• Portfolio management and integration
• Assist in monitoring joint ventures and restructuring projects
• Support post-merger integration planning and business plan implementation
• Prepare periodic reports and presentations on acquisitions, disposals, and strategic projects
• Conduct ad hoc strategic, financial, and market analyses to support non-M&A activities and business development
• Provide support to Investor Relations team on recurring activities
• Prepare investor communications and monitor industry benchmarks
• Review sell-side research reports and update internal valuation models
• Support order intake forecasting and reforecasting
