Job summary

The CNRS – Institut d'Electronique de Microélectronique et de Nanotechnologie (IEMN) invites applications for a fully-funded First Stage Researcher (R1) position. The project focuses on developing embedded neural implants with neuromorphic capabilities using CMOS technology for healthcare applications.

We seek a highly motivated scientist with a strong microelectronics background, capable of independent work and teamwork, and interested in interdisciplinary healthcare concepts, including

Qualifications

• Solid background in microelectronics and circuit design.
• Experience with neuromorphic circuits and spiking neuron concepts.

Responsibilities

• Define and design next-generation neuromorphic implants with low power CMOS.
• Develop embedded neural implants for neurodegenerative diseases.
• Identify signal processing techniques for low-power operation with IC team.
• Propose neuromorphic IC architecture for closed-loop system.
• Collaborate with design engineers to implement the architecture.
• Characterize CMOS circuits after fabrication.
• Participate in reverse-engineering project within interdisciplinary team.
