About the role
Reporting to the Order Administration and Logistics Manager, the Logistics Manager is responsible for the operational management of the central distribution center (DC) and the coordination of global logistics flows (DC + 3 local warehouses in the USA, UAE, and UK), ensuring customer service level targets are met while optimizing flows and costs.
The Logistics Manager acts as the main point of contact between the central distribution center, local warehouses, and other stakeholders (carriers, customer service, and sales teams).
You will be involved in a variety of cross-functional missions, including:
1- Key Responsibilities:
- Ensure compliance with SLAs, delivery lead times, and service levels expected by each market and sales channel (B2C/B2B –direct retail).
- Ensure alignment between business needs and partner capacities, notably by anticipating B2B/B2C workload peaks.
- Establish and monitor key performance indicators (logistics KPIs) — such as service level, stock accuracy, transit times, and logistics costs — and propose corrective actions. In collaboration with the Purchasing and Finance teams, benchmark and challenge logistics costs across global operations (EU/USA/UAE/UK).
- Co‑lead monthly and quarterly business reviews with the distribution center (DC).
- Manage daily communication and relationship with the DC.
- Ensure proper execution of stock transfers to meet specific needs (e.g., B2C, China, etc.).
- Identify recurring bottlenecks (inventory, transport, systems) and lead or coordinate continuous improvement plans with the DC, warehouses, and freight forwarder (service level and quality improvement, flow optimization, digitalization, cost and carbon footprint reduction, etc.).
- Act as a driving force for global physical flow optimization. Harmonize processes and best practices with logistics coordinators from the USA, UAE, and UK warehouses.
- Provide regular reporting to B2C/B2B teams, Operations, and local stakeholders.
- Manage stock obsolescence and ensure FIFO compliance.
- Key stakeholders:
Internal: Sales, Demand Planning team, Logistics Coordinators (USA, UAE, UK), Supply Chain team, Order Administration team.
External: Warehouse, freight forwarder, customer.
2- Role - Specific Skills:
- Strong understanding of multi-channel logistics flows (B2B, B2C, retail).
- Knowledge of Incoterms and customs regulations, particularly for flammable liquids (ADR/IATA/IMDG).
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in an international environment.
- Excellent communication and cross‑cultural coordination skills.
- Analytical rigor (KPI monitoring, logistics data analysis).
- Proficiency in ERP/WMS systems and Excel/BI tools for tracking and reporting.
- Fluent in French and English.
3- Desired Background and Experience:
- You hold a Master’s degree (M2) in Logistics / Supply Chain.
- You have at least 5 years of experience in Logistics, ideally in the Cosmetics sector (Beauty and/or Perfumes). You will be required to travel to regional warehouses.
