Job summary

MSC Cruises in Saint-Nazaire, France, seeks an LNG Manager to oversee inspection and outfitting of LNG systems on newbuilds, ensuring compliance with IGF Code and project specs.

You will lead on-site inspections, coordinate with the site team, attend meetings, and record progress, while providing technical input for design changes and lessons learned.

Fluency in English required; French knowledge is a plus. Degree in shipbuilding or equivalent experience preferred; travel may be required.

Qualifications

• Fluency in English; knowledge of Italian or French is a plus.
• Substantial experience inspecting shipbuilding/refitting projects or onboard cruise vessels.
• Good knowledge of IGF Code and piping/electrical machinery inspection.

Responsibilities

• Ensures areas under the discipline are built on time and in line with design and contractual requirements.
• Follows installation and outfitting of LNG equipment and piping with up-to-date records.
• Attends project meetings and prepares progress reports.
• Ensures commissioning activities are approved by class and authorities.
• Suggests minor adjustments and follows design changes to implementation.
• Highlights design aspects to improve for current or future constructions.
• Involves Technical Site Specialist during construction and commissioning to verify functionality.
• Assists with Plan Approval activities as required.
