Voodoo in Paris offers a 6-month internship within the Legal team for trainees enrolled at the French Bar School (EFB). You will support regulatory compliance, work with lawyers on DPIAs and processing records, and help with policy drafting and data rights requests.

You will monitor GDPR and US data protection developments, draft notices, and engage with CNIL/EDPB as needed. Strong English and French skills are required, with an autonomous, rigorous approach.

Qualifications

• Trainee lawyer enrolled at the French Bar School (EFB).
• Strong command of GDPR.
• Strong knowledge of US data protection laws (CCPA, VCDPA, COPPA).
• Fluent in English and French.

Responsabilités

• Assist with Records of Processing and DPIAs, supporting compliance documentation.
• Work on data-related topics across gaming and social media features and AB tests.
• Monitor GDPR and US data protection developments (CCPA, COPPA, COPPA).
• Draft and update privacy policies, notices, and internal training materials.
• Handle data subject rights requests (access, erasure, objection).
• Support regulator communications with CNIL and EDPB.

Role

6‑month internship as part of your training at the French Bar School (École de Formation du Barreau, EFB), within the Legal team, reporting to the Head of Legal - Regulatory. You will work alongside the lawyers in charge of regulatory compliance, on concrete matters for products used by over 200 million people.

• Records of processing and DPIAs: help maintain compliance documentation and the records of processing activities, and support data protection impact assessments.

• Substantive work: work on all various data related topics across the verticals of gaming and social media (new features, AB tests, etc.).

• Regulatory monitoring: track developments in GDPR and US data protection laws (CCPA, COPPA...).

• Documentation: draft and update privacy policies, notices, and internal training materials.

• Data subject rights: handle requests to exercise rights (access, erasure, objection).

• Regulator relations: support communications with the CNIL and the EDPB, and follow up on ongoing matters.

• Digital regulation: games and platforms.

Profile

• Trainee lawyer enrolled at the French Bar School (EFB), 6‑month internship as part of your PPI (individual training project)
• Prior experience in tech law or data protection (internship, apprenticeship) is a plus
• Strong command of GDPR
• Strong knowledge of US data protection laws (CCPA, VCDPA, COPPA)
• Strong interest in digital regulation
• Strong interest in tech and gaming
• Rigorous, autonomous, able to summarize complex topics
• Fluency in English and French required
