What You’ll Do

• Act as a trusted legal partner across the business, providing sharp, pragmatic advice on a range of topics, particularly French commercial law and regulatory matters. You’ll help shape our legal posture as we scale
• Support the development and upkeep of our compliance infrastructure, ensuring alignment with French and EU legal requirements, with a focus on practicality and scalability
• Own GDPR and broader privacy frameworks. You’ll work cross‑functionally to ensure our policies are fit for purpose, up‑to‑date, and embedded in product and ops
• Partner with product, growth, and commercial teams to launch new offerings, campaigns, and partnerships—bringing legal thinking into business decision‑making early and often
• Track legal and regulatory developments in fintech and insurance (especially in France) and translate them into strategic, actionable advice for the business

What We’re Looking For

• Legal background with a focus on French law—either through education, in‑house, or law firm experience
• (Qualification not required, but we do value deep familiarity with French legal frameworks.)
• Ideally, 5+ years working in the French market. NL experience is a plus, but not a must
• Background in financial services, insurance, or tech is helpful—but we’re open to smart generalists too
• Fluent in English; French is a strong advantage
• Clear communicator, solution‑oriented, and confident, advising senior stakeholders
• Comfortable navigating ambiguity and working independently, but collaborative by nature
