Job summary

ESCP Business School is seeking a legal apprentice to support its legal team on GDPR compliance and contract law matters. The role involves assisting with data protection documentation, privacy notices, and data processing agreements, as well as drafting and reviewing contracts in French and English.

The apprentice will monitor CNIL recommendations and assist with contract templates and documentation within a European academic environment.

Responsibilities

• Assist with monitoring GDPR compliance for personal data processing.
• Update the data processing register and related data protection documentation.
• Draft and review privacy policies, notices, and internal procedures.
• Assist with analysis of data processing contracts and DPAs.
• Track regulatory changes and CNIL recommendations.
• Help draft, analyze and review contracts.
• Identify legal risks and analyze contractual clauses.
• Review and update contract templates and maintain documentation.
• Analyze contracts drafted in French and English.

Job description

As part of its activities, ESCP Business School is seeking a legal apprentice to support its legal team on matters relating to the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and contract law.

Main responsibilities

1. Personal data protection – GDPR

• Help monitor compliance with the GDPR in relation to the processing of personal data.
• Help update the data processing register and documentation relating to data protection.
• Help draft and review privacy policies, privacy notices and internal procedures.
• Assist with the analysis of contracts involving the processing of personal data, in particular data processing agreements.
• Monitor legal developments regarding regulatory changes and recommendations from the CNIL.

2. Contract law

• Assist with the drafting, analysis and review of contracts.
• Help to identify legal risks and analyse contractual clauses.
• Help to review and update contract templates.
• Keep track of contractual documentation.
• Help to analyse contracts drafted in French and English.
