This position is posted by Jobgether on behalf of a partner company. We are currently looking for a Lead / Senior Sales Engineer – Renewable Energy SaaS Platform in France.

This role offers a unique opportunity to shape the pre‑sales function for a leading SaaS platform in the renewable energy sector. You will act as the technical bridge between the product and sales teams, leading client engagements, demonstrations, and tailored workshops. By understanding client requirements, you will showcase how the platform delivers tangible business value, influencing decision‑making and supporting the energy transition. You will collaborate closely with product and engineering teams, provide actionable feedback, and help define processes for a rapidly growing market. This position requires a proactive, entrepreneurial mindset, and offers substantial ownership and impact within a dynamic, international environment.

Accountabilities
  • Serve as the technical expert during the sales process, demonstrating platform capabilities and value propositions.
  • Lead customized demos, workshops, and test/proof‑of‑concept projects tailored to client needs.
  • Collaborate with the product team to translate customer feedback into actionable product improvements.
  • Respond to RFPs and RFIs, supporting technical proposal development.
  • Act as a trusted advisor to prospects and clients, offering guidance on best practices and commercial process optimization.
  • Assess requests for product extensions, evaluate business impact, and advise on feasibility and prioritization.
  • Define and refine pre‑sales processes to drive growth in the renewable energy market.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering, Energy, Finance, or related fields.
  • 7–10 years of experience in pre‑sales, solution engineering, or sales consulting, ideally in SaaS or renewable energy technology.
  • Hands‑on knowledge of asset management, renewable energy markets, or portfolio management.
  • Strong technical acumen with the ability to translate complex solutions into business value for non‑technical stakeholders.
  • Excellent presentation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to lead client workshops, demos, and proof‑of‑concept projects independently.
  • Fluent in English and a second European language (German or Spanish highly desirable).
  • Curious, proactive, energetic, and collaborative with a passion for sustainable energy.
  • Comfortable working independently in a fast‑paced, startup environment.
