Sotheby’s France seeks a senior Lead Specialist for Sculpture in Paris. You will coordinate Paris-based and global sales, shape regional strategy, and provide expert valuations and academic guidance. Represent Sotheby’s in confidential appraisals and public events, from receptions to talks.

A senior member of the global sculpture team with language fluency in English and French is essential. You will lead exhibition preparation, cataloguing, and client development across France and Europe,

Qualifications

• Academic training in art history to postgraduate level.
• Experience dealing with European sculpture and high-end works.
• Proven client-facing track record and professional communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead and oversee Sculpture sales in Paris in line with national/European strategy.
• Supervise appraisal, cataloguing and valuation of artworks.
• Oversee research notes and sale documentation in French/English.
• Prepare inventories, proposals and client opportunities.
• Manage department operations and collaboration with admins/other teams.
• Promote property for sale and respond to client inquiries for auctions.
