Job summary

Spendesk is seeking a Lead Product Designer to shape the future of its product experience, with a focus on AI-powered and automation-driven workflows. You’ll work across squads, partnering with PMs, engineers, and designers to deliver coherent experiences and align on high-impact problems.

You’ll remain hands-on, leading critical discovery and design initiatives while setting principles and standards that empower others to decide with clarity.

Qualifications

• Seven+ years of experience designing complex digital products in cross-functional teams.
• Proven ability to lead design across multiple squads or domains.
• Strong product, strategic thinking, and ability to connect user needs with business goals.
• Excellent systems thinking, interaction design, and information architecture skills.

Responsibilities

• Shape product and experience direction across connected squads or a significant product area.
• Identify and prioritise high-impact opportunities by aligning customer insights, strategy, and technical context.
• Align cross-functional teams around shared problems, principles, outcomes and success measures.
• Lead complex design initiatives across discovery, exploration, delivery, measurement and iteration while remaining hands-on.
• Create coherent end-to-end experiences and resolve systemic UX issues across workflows and squads.
• Establish and uphold standards for interaction design, information architecture, accessibility, content, and visual quality.
• Coach and support designers to grow in autonomy, craft, and product thinking.
