Equans France seeks an experienced Lead Network Architect to define and drive SLS infrastructure network and security services. You will manage a global network experts team, prioritize activities, and lead budget, RFPs, and governance boards to ensure service quality and alignment with SLAs.

The role requires seniority, strong leadership, and experience delivering hybrid-cloud network solutions across multinational environments, with a focus on continuous improvement and collaboration with BAU

• 15+ years IT experience with network infrastructure

• Experience in worldwide large companies (10,000+ employees)
• Expertise in designing network infrastructure services and delivery (SWAN, LAN, Wifi, NAC, Internet Access, VPN, Firewalling, Backbone)
• Knowledge of ITIL processes and service catalog management
• Understanding security and risk assurance aligned with compliance controls

Job Description

Key responsibilities of the role:

The role reports to the SLS Infrastructure Engineering Lead who is based in France. The role will be part of the global IT team with IT colleagues across the globe. The lead network architect Lead for Shared Line of Service Infrastructure will lead the Architectural orientations and decisions for network & security infrastructure services for the EQUANS organisation. The objective for this person is to drive Infrastructure direction for new services, improve the existing and ensure they are properly operated by partner “Business As Usual” (BAU) teams.

The Lead network Architect will manage the network experts responsible of products delivered by the SLS infrastructure, ensuring they can fully assume their role of product owners for their respective services under their responsibility. Experts can be localised worldwide in Equans organisation.

This role is responsible for:

• Defining SLS infrastructure Network & Security services
• Manage Network Expertise Team
• Prioritize Network Team activities backlog.
• Support Service Catalog Product for Network Services of SLS infrastructure.
• Define budget prior to engage in a new SLS infrastructure service.
• Leading RFPs with multiple vendor to select the most appropriate proposal.
• Ensure coordination of Experts activities following agile methodology.
• Ensure Architecture boards approbation for Services design (DA, ARB, IC)
• Getting personally involved in Services design or support.
• Ensure services are aligned with Equans SLA (Backup, Monitoring, Support response)
• Responding to customer requests and providing quotations in collaboration with the other teams if necessary.
• Collaborating and participating with other Services of SLS.
• Defining and following the right KPI for services catalog products.
• Creating the process to monitor and measure satisfaction with network services catalog products.
• Participating to the board meetings at SLS or corporate level to provide insights on the SLS Infrastructure services.
• Organising communication with Network expertise team.
• Defining objectives of each member of the Network team.
• The role is an integral part of the business plan to move towards a fully integrated business with a service orientated ethic.
• Take responsiblity as Network Champions in the Equans organization.

Ideal profile

Experience

• Likely to be an IT professional with at least 15 years’ experience.
• Experience in managing teams with network expertise.
• Experienced in designing services based on market technologies to support business needs hosted in Hybrid Cloud environments.
• Some experience in agile methodology.
• Signigicative experience in worldwide companies with 10.000 or more employees.
• Expertise in designing network infrastructure services and their delivery (SWAN, Lan, Wifi, NAC, Internet Access, VPN, Firewalling, Backbone …)
• Have planned and rolled out all the relevant ITIL processes as required.
• Understand and has managed Service-level requirements as defined in the Service Catalogue – relevant KPIs will form the service management quadrant of the departments balanced scorecard.
• Understand full compliance with security and Risk assurance assessments and resultant actions – following all relevant INCOME controls.

Qualifications & Memberships

• BSC degree in an engineering, computer science or IT discipline.
• Service Management – ITIL Practioner.
• Certifications related to network expertise.
• Ability to design and maintain onprerm & cloud based services.
