Job summary

EnerSys in France is seeking a Lead IoT Software Engineer to design, build and lead software powering next-generation energy storage systems. You will own embedded Linux devices, APIs and cloud solutions, guiding cross‑functional teams across hardware and software.

The role blends embedded, cloud and real-world impact, with Agile processes and international collaboration. You will drive architecture, security and performance while delivering scalable IoT platforms for global deployments.

Qualifications

• Experience in IoT or embedded software engineering.
• Understanding of distributed systems, APIs and cloud-native architectures.
• Comfortable working across embedded and backend environments.
• Ability to translate complex requirements into robust technical solutions.

Responsibilities

• Lead a team of software engineers through Agile sprints.
• Design and develop embedded software on Linux (ARM).
• Build and integrate APIs, backend services, and IoT cloud solutions.
• Drive technical decisions and architecture improvements.
• Debug and prototype on hardware platforms.
• Ensure security, performance and reliability.
