Growtoday AB is seeking a Principal Cryptographer to advance a trustless custody infrastructure for the digital asset industry. You will lead cryptographic research, drive security-first designs, and collaborate with senior scientists to shape the R&D roadmap.

You will tackle advanced topics like MPC, ZKP, PQC, and cryptographic agility while maintaining a strong focus on secure, scalable systems. Global hybrid work is supported, with generous equity and salary.

Qualifications

• 8+ years as a Principal Cryptographer or similar role.
• 3+ years proven work experience in blockchain and DeFi.
• Strong mathematical knowledge and algorithmic capability.
• Experience with public key cryptography (ECDSA, EDdsa).
• Engineering mindset to challenge and improve engineering reasoning.
• Strong understanding of security principles, protocols and cryptography.
• Publications in international scientific reviews (>1).
• PhD in cryptography or CS.
• Experience with secure, fault-tolerant systems.
• Ambitious, resilient, with strong communication skills.
• Interest in Cybersecurity, Fintech, Blockchain or Crypto domains.
• Bonus: Rust/Go/Typescript coding experience.
• Bonus: Open source contributions.

Responsabilités

• Research state-of-the-art cryptography to enhance product security and performance.
• Identify weaknesses and design robust security systems against new risks.
• Test cryptographic theorems against product security requirements.
