City of Rogers seeks a Planner I in the Community Development Department to assist citizens, developers, and design professionals with planning inquiries, review development plans, and prepare staff reports. The position requires knowledge of zoning, development regulations, CityWorks, ArcGIS Pro, and project management tools; a degree in urban planning or related field and a valid driver's license are preferred.

Salary begins at $30.60–$32.52 per hour, DOE.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in urban planning or closely related field; or bachelor degree in an unrelated field supplemented by two years of experience in urban planning or closely related field; or high school diploma supplemented by six years experience in urban planning or closely related field.
Valid driver's license.
AICP certification or desire to become certified is preferred.

Responsabilités

Assist citizens, developers, and design professionals with planning-related inquiries regarding zoning, development regulations, permitting, public hearings, etc.
Review development plans, subdivision plats, and other technical documents for compliance with current rules and regulations.
Prepare public meeting materials and staff reports.
Work with CityWorks, Microsoft Office, ESRI ArcGIS Pro, and project management systems.
Assist with long-range planning initiatives.
Assist other Planning Division staff in their functions.
