Powerplants Australia is seeking a Junior Sales Engineer to assist in the design and costing of horticultural automation and logistics solutions, supporting the Division Manager. This entry-level role offers exposure to quotes, project scopes, and product specifications.

You will work with estimators and engineers to prepare drawings, parts lists, and technical support, while developing skills in project design and estimation within a growing team.

Qualifications

• Mechanical Engineering and practical concept design skills.
• Experience in AutoCAD.
• Advanced Microsoft Office capabilities (Word & Excel most important).
• Concept Design.
• Interest in project design, drafting and estimation.
• Problem-solving ability.
• Attention to detail.

Responsabilités

• Assist estimators & engineers to provide estimates, quotes, drawings and project designs.
• Support automation and labour-saving equipment, and fogging systems.
• Develop tools and processes to improve speed and accuracy of quotes.
• Create parts lists for projects.
• Maintain open communications with key stakeholders.
• Management of databases including parts and prices.

Due to expansion, we are looking for a qualified Mechanical Engineer (or similar discipline) to join the team. This position is suitable to Graduate/Entry level applicants.

About The Role

The Junior Sales Engineer will support the Division Manager in the design and costing of horticultural Automation & Logistic solutions. This role will expand over time to support the sales team by creating project scopes, estimations, quotes, and technical support in relation to design, product specifications, product suitability and overall product performance.

Key Responsibilities Include

• Assist the Estimators & Engineers to provide estimates, quotes, drawings, and project designs
• Support automation and labour-saving equipment, and fogging systems
• Develop tools and processes to improve speed and accuracy of quotes
• Create parts lists for projects
• Maintain open communications with key stakeholders
• Management of databases including but not limited to parts and prices
