INRAE Montpellier – MoISA Research Unit seeks a Junior Research Assistant to support the TIPPING framework work package, coordinating stakeholder engagement, questionnaires, interviews, and workshop logistics.

The role includes assisting in meetings, deliverables, and data management, with travel within Europe as required. Start as soon as possible, contract up to September 2027, with potential extension.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Agriculture or related field.
• Strong organisational and communication skills.
• Fluent written and spoken English.
• Ability to work independently and manage meetings.
• Basic research and data-management skills.
• Proficiency with Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
• Master’s degree and experience in ag/climate/Horizon Europe projects.

Responsabilités

• Support Work Package 1 – TIPPING Framework for Agri-Climate Impacts; assist with stakeholder mapping, questionnaires and interviews.
• Organise workshops and project meetings; assist with preparation of deliverables.

We are hiring – Junior Research Assistant | INRAE Montpellier

I am pleased to share an opportunity to join our team at INRAE Montpellier – MoISA Research Unit and contribute to the European Horizon Europe project TIPPING – Dynamic Climate-Agriculture Intelligence for Adaptive EU Land Management and Cropping Systems.

The selected candidate will contribute mainly to Work Package 1 – TIPPING Framework for Agri-Climate Impacts, supporting activities such as stakeholder mapping, questionnaires and interviews, organisation of workshops, project meetings, and preparation of project deliverables.

Qualifications

• Minimum Bachelor’s degree in Agriculture, Environmental Science, Sustainability, Geography, Rural Development, Natural Resources, or a related field
• Excellent organisational and communication skills
• Good written and spoken English
• Ability to work independently and manage meetings, follow-ups and project activities
• Basic research and data-management skills
• Good knowledge of Word, Excel and PowerPoint
• Master’s degree, French language skills, previous experience in agricultural, environmental, climate or Horizon Europe projects, stakeholder engagement and co-design, GDPR, digital agriculture/DSS, GIS, or basic data analysis.

Start: As soon as possible

Initial contract up to September 2027, with possibility of extension.

Candidates should be legally residing in Europe or be able to come to France without needing a new entry visa before arrival, and should be open to travel within Europe when required by the project.
