EDP Renewables is seeking a Junior Legal Specialist to join a small France & Belgium legal team. You will support development of wind, solar PV and BESS projects with a focus on public and environmental law, planning, and real estate, ensuring regulatory compliance and coordination with operational teams.

You will draft and review documents, monitor day-to-day legal issues, and collaborate with external counsel as needed. Fluency in English is required; other languages are a plus.

Qualifications

• 3 years of professional experience in public law/environmental law, at a top law firm or in-house (energy or industrial sector).
• Master's degree in law (Energy, Environment, Public Law or Real Estate Law) ideally with CRFPA, business school or Sciences Po qualification.
• Good knowledge of Planning law, Environmental law (ICPE permitting), Public law.
• Expertise in renewable energy regulatory topics and public law aspects related to development of renewable energy projects.
• Strong drafting and negotiation skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage priorities effectively.
• Good interpersonal and communication abilities.
• Fluency in English; other languages are a plus.

Responsabilités

• Provide legal support to wind, solar PV and BESS project development, including regulatory analysis and permit review, and liaising with authorities.
• Support planning and real estate law: review land agreements, coordinate with notary, assist on land acquisition strategy, and perform planning law analyses.
• Manage and monitor litigation and pre-litigation matters (administrative law): liaise with external counsel, coordinate teams, track deadlines.
• Assist on calls for projects and calls for tenders and on M&A transactions.
• Provide legal and regulatory watch, train operational teams, and raise awareness on regulatory matters.
• Participate in meetings held by representative bodies of the wind and solar PV industry.
