Escape is seeking a Junior Full-Stack Engineer to contribute to AI-powered cybersecurity products from Paris. You’ll work with senior engineers across the stack, delivering features and improvements in a learning-friendly environment.

Join a growing team of 21 engineers and 4 leads, with stock options and strong benefits. The role blends frontend and backend work, offering Paris-based office time with two days remote weekly.

Qualifications

• 1-2 years’ experience building web applications.
• A good understanding of both frontend and backend development.
• Motivation to learn TypeScript and modern frameworks like Svelte.
• Familiarity with APIs (REST or GraphQL) and databases like PostgreSQL.
• Interest in the intersection of AI, security, and high-impact products.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills ready to ask questions and grow.

Responsibilities

• Develop on frontend (Svelte + TypeScript) and backend (Node.js, GraphQL, Prisma, PostgreSQL).
• Collaborate on delivering new features and improving UX for security teams.
• Help maintain and enhance the data model supporting our security products.
• Participate in evolving our API and integrating new AI research into product features.
• Learn best practices for database query optimization, pagination, and performance.
• Contribute to the user-facing surfaces by building intuitive workflows and dashboards.
