Escape, a Paris-based, fast-growing AI-powered cybersecurity company, is seeking a Senior Backend Engineer to join a security research team and translate research into production-grade scanning and detection systems.

You will own design and delivery of agentic scanning, AI-driven testing, and scalable infrastructure using Python, Go, Kubernetes, and modern data stores in a hybrid Paris office setup.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of backend engineering or security R&D in a product environment.
• Strong fundamentals across systems, networking, and web architectures.
• Experience shipping production systems with measurable impact.
• Ability to translate research into reliable implementations.

Responsabilités

• Build autonomous scanning systems that explore applications and test strategies.
• Design and implement production-grade vulnerability detection logic.
• Integrate AI-driven testing using LLMs into workflows.
• Work on distributed infrastructure orchestrating thousands of concurrent scans.
• Ensure performance, reliability, and cost efficiency.
• Contribute to core platform architecture decisions around memory and data models.
