Job summary

Murex is seeking a final-year student for a Java-focused internship in Paris, to contribute to the MX.3 platform used by financial institutions worldwide. Qualifications

• Final-year student in Engineering School or Master’s degree in Computer Science or Software Engineering
• Good programming skills in Java and a strong interest in complex software systems
• Good understanding of object‑oriented programming principles
• Interested in topics such as software architecture, distributed systems, performance, data processing, observability or continuous integration
• Curious, analytical and eager to understand how software components interact
• Strong problem‑solving skills
• Team‑oriented, with a proactive and autonomous mindset
• Good communication and documentation skills
• Fluency in English is required.

Responsibilities

• Follow onboarding on software engineering practices and the MX.3 platform.
• Contribute to a project with direct technical impact in Java and related services.
• Analyze existing code, execution flows and technical architectures.
• Improve performance, robustness, reliability and maintainability of solutions.
• Contribute to development of data-processing, workflow or real-time applications.
• Work on distributed systems, service orchestration and platform components.
• Enhance monitoring, diagnostics and operational tooling.
• Contribute to testing, CI and deployment practices.
• Explore AI/ML applications in software engineering contexts.
• Collaborate with software engineers, architects and product experts.
• Document approach and present findings to technical stakeholders.
