Overview

IT Support Technician (M/F) – 6-month renewable fixed-term contract. Location: Pont-de-Cheruy, France (38). GINDRE group is the world specialist in copper conductors for electrical equipment, established since 1823 in Pont-de-Chéruy (38). With two centuries of know-how, we transform non-ferrous metals with passion and focus on eco-responsible transformation of copper. We are a pioneering group, vertically integrated from smelting to distribution, including manufacture of semi-finished products and components. Our people and the global community they form are our greatest strength. We are looking for an IT Support Technician as part of our growing business.

Because of our continuous modernization, we are renewing our group ERP, modernizing and securing our Information System, and implementing new IT tools. We operate with a telecommuting charter enabling 2 days of remote work per week. An induction course will be offered to familiarize you with the working environment.

Responsibilities
  • As part of the IT department, you will be responsible for providing application support for our various existing and future software applications, through the following tasks:
  • Handling first-level incidents
  • Respond to user requests via the ticketing tool
  • Diagnose malfunctions on industrial equipment using an IT solution
  • Propose an appropriate solution, taking into account safety and production constraints
  • Climb to the next level
  • Gather technical and functional information from users
  • Document and transmit complex incidents to level 2 team with clarity and precision
  • Draft procedures and operating modes
  • Formalize practical guides for handling recurring faults or using industrial software
  • Update documents in line with software developments
  • Create, modify and delete accounts in compliance with access rules for industrial IT systems
  • Contribute to IS security by applying best practices deployed internally

You will be working in the dynamic context of renewing the group ERP, and the modernization and securing of the Information System along with the implementation of new IT tools.

A telecommuting charter is in place, enabling you to work 2 days a week from home. You will be offered an induction course to familiarize you with your working environment.

You are a good communicator, both orally and in writing, and able to demonstrate your ability to communicate effectively. With a real sense of service, you are organized, rigorous and attentive to the proper management of your tasks and documentation. Driven by the search for concrete, effective solutions, you combine curiosity, analytical skills and tenacity in problem-solving. Your experience of industrial environments and your ability to work with older IT equipment will be valuable for rapid integration and an efficient start-up. English will be an asset in our international environment.

Technical Knowledge Required
  • Mastery of embedded Windows operating systems
  • Knowledge of a ticketing tool
  • Basic knowledge of ITIL principles
Diploma
  • You have at least 2 years\' higher education in IT.
Experiences
  • You have two years\' professional experience in a similar position.
