Geodis is seeking an IT Project Leader to drive customer solutions and IT projects in Freight Forwarding contexts. You will manage end-to-end delivery from requirements with customers to go-live and handover to IT Operations, coordinating cross-functional teams across geographies and time zones.

You will lead planning, budgets, risks, and quality, ensuring on-time delivery within scope and budget while maintaining strong customer satisfaction and consistent documentation.

Qualificações

• Minimum five years of IT project management experience.
• Experience in customer projects within Supply Chain / Logistics / Freight Forwarding.
• Strong knowledge of EDI, APIs and data mapping.
• Ability to translate customer requirements into IT solutions.

Responsabilidades

• Lead the planning, execution and delivery of customer IT projects, from kick-off to go-live.
• Build and maintain project plans, timelines and budgets in line with GEODIS methodologies.
• Gather and challenge requirements with the customer, Sales/BD and Operations, translating them into IT specifications.
• Coordinate the project team (developers, EDI analysts, solution experts, vendors) across geographies/time zones.
• Identify project risks, define mitigation plans, and escalate to management when needed.
• Ensure deliverables meet quality standards and project specifications (test strategy, UAT, go/no-go).
• Prepare and present project status reports to management and stakeholders.
• Maintain complete project documentation for future reference and audit purposes.
• Secure handover to IT Operations with documentation and knowledge transfer.
• Use EDI knowledge to support data exchange design and data dictionaries.

Job description

The IT Project Leader - Customer Solutions & Projects leads the IT projects delivered to Freight Forwarding customers: customer onboarding, EDI / API integrations, visibility and customer-specific solutions. Reporting to the Manager Customer Projects, he/she owns delivery end to end, from requirement gathering with the customer and business teams to go-live and handover to IT Operations, making sure projects are delivered on time, within scope and budget, and at the expected quality level.

Main Activities

• Lead the planning, execution and delivery of customer IT projects, from kick-off to go-live.
• Build and maintain project plans, timelines and budgets, in line with GEODIS project methodology and standards.
• Gather and challenge requirements with the customer, Sales / BD and Operations, and translate them into clear IT specifications.
• Coordinate the project team (developers, EDI analysts, solution experts, vendors) across geographies and time zones.
• Identify project risks, define mitigation plans, solve issues and escape to management when needed.
• Ensure deliverables meet quality standards and project specifications (test strategy, customer UAT, go / no-go).
• Prepare and present project status reports (milestones, KPIs, budget, risks) to management and stakeholders.
• Maintain complete project documentation for future reference and audit purposes.
• Secure the handover to IT Operations (Move-to-BAU) with the right level of documentation and knowledge transfer.
• Use EDI knowledge to support data exchange design (message flows, mapping) and help create and maintain data dictionaries.

Applicant's profile

Skills

• IT project management (planning, budget, risks, reporting)
• Knowledge of Transport / Freight Forwarding IT applications and customer integrations (EDI, API)
• Ability to translate customer requirements into IT solutions

• Fluent English (written and spoken)

Education

Master's degree (Bac+5) in IT, Computer Science, Supply Chain or related field

Experience

5 to 8 years' experience in IT project management, ideally on customer projects in Supply Chain / Logistics / Freight Forwarding

Plus

EDI knowledge (EDIFACT, X12, XML / API) and data mapping; Agile / Scrum or PM certification (PMP, Prince2)
