IT Ops Lead — Scale Security & Infrastructure

Job summary

Dust is hiring its first full-time IT Ops hire in Paris to own the infrastructure that keeps a fast-growing team running, from devices and access management to security practices that scale with us.

This foundational role works directly with the team and has real impact from day one as AI is woven into every workflow. You’ll help Dust build scalable IT systems and an office-first culture with remote flexibility where appropriate.

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience managing macOS and Linux endpoints in a SaaS or tech environment.
• Strong working knowledge of MDM solutions (Jamf, Kandji, or equivalent), SSO, and identity management platforms
• Solid understanding of network fundamentals: routing, VPNs, DNS, and office connectivity
• Comfortable working in security-conscious environments with an understanding of access control best practices
• Able to document systems and processes clearly enough that others can operate them independently

Responsibilities

• Provision, configure, and manage all employee hardware (Mac and Linux) across the Paris team
• Maintain MDM tooling and ensure all devices meet security and compliance standards
• Build and document onboarding/offboarding hardware workflows
• Own IAM across SSO, Google Workspace, and third-party SaaS tools
• Ensure access controls are current, auditable, and correctly scoped
• Partner with the team to implement least-privilege access policies
• Manage AV, networking, and physical infrastructure at the Paris office
• Be the first point of contact for IT issues — resolving quickly and building self-serve resources to reduce recurring requests
• Coordinate with vendors and manage hardware inventory
• Support internal security reviews, audits, and compliance initiatives
• Identify risks proactively and propose practical mitigations
• Maintain IT documentation that stays accurate and useful
• Automate repetitive processes and reduce manual IT overhead
• Evaluate and implement new tools as the team grows
• Contribute to IT roadmap planning alongside the Ops and Engineering teams
