A leading international life sciences company in Nantes is seeking an IT Field Technician. This role involves installing and maintaining hardware/software, troubleshooting issues, and providing excellent customer service. The ideal candidate has a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, extensive experience in network maintenance, and strong interpersonal skills. This is a permanent position with potential travel in France; remuneration is to be defined according to the profile.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in computer networks maintenance.
• 5+ years of experience on current computer and server operating systems.
• Ability to meet deadlines and manage stress effectively.
• Ability to communicate technical concepts to varied audiences and work under pressure.
• Good command of English.

Responsabilités

• Installing, configuring, and maintaining computer hardware and software.
• Troubleshooting computer-related issues.
• Maintaining accurate records using the ticketing system.
• Maintain records of completed and pending jobs in the ticketing system (OTRS).
• Follow IT policies and escalate incidents as needed.
• Provide friendly customer service as first point of contact and respond promptly to issues.

Job Description

We are looking for technically skilled candidates with good problem-solving ability for the position of IT Field Technician. The duties of an IT Field Technician include being a reference point for all IT related queries at the user level, responding to user needs in a timely manner and ensuring the optimal running of all systems, among other technical duties.

IT Field Technicians are expected to display good interpersonal skills as they will interact with colleagues from various departments and executive levels. They are required to listen to their technical needs, understand their problems and implement solutions to them.

Duties To Include

• Installing, configuring and maintaining standard computer hardware and software
• Assist customers with troubleshooting of computer related issues such as virus removal/password resets/email setup/software installations/setting up accounts for new users
• Assist customers with first level troubleshooting of network equipment
• Maintain accurate records of completed and pending jobs using the Eurofins ticketing system (OTRS)
• Follow Eurofins policies and procedures to including incident/problem escalation
• Provide friendly and helpful customer service as first point of contactResponding in a timely manner to service issues and requests
• Repairing and replacing equipment as necessary

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or equivalent work experience
• 3+ years' experience in computer networks maintenance (Cisco and HP)
• 5+ years' experience on current computer and server operating systems
• Hands of knowledge of Windows 7/10, Windows server 2016, Active Directory, Microsoft Office suite
• Ability to meet deadlines and manage stress effectively in high-pressure situations
• Understanding of IT principles and an ability to communicate technical concepts effectively to a varied audience
• Good command in English

Job Conditions

• Type of contract: permanent
• Traveling: depending on on‑going projects but maybe up to 20%, mainly France.
• Availability: as soon as possible
• Remuneration: to be defined according to the profile
